Chapter 16
- Amelia
- Two months and a week into my pregnancy, I felt like I was navigating mysterious waters. The nausea, the cravings, and the rollercoaster of emotions were overwhelming, to say the least. But the biggest surprise was yet to come, one that would both terrify and warm my heart. As I sat in my room this evening, bathed in the soft reflection of a single, flickering candle, my thoughts were a chaotic whirlwind. Three into my life in Hunter’s pack, my life had taken a turn I could never have anticipated.
- It was a crisp evening when it happened. I was eager to go to bed early today as I had felt a little stressed during the day. I drifted off to sleep almost immediately my head touched the pillow, and soon the dreams started. In my dream, I was returning from seeing the midwives for my weekly check ups, hoping that the gentle breeze that blew that evening would soothe my tired back.
