• My heart raced as we pierced through the woods after chaos of the battle scene. Hunter lay unconscious on the stretcher beside me, his face pale and his chest soaked in blood. I clutched his hand tightly, praying that we’d reach the hospital in time. The EMTs rushed him into the emergency ward, leaving me in the capable hands of the medical team.
• As they tended to Hunter’s injuries, I struggled to maintain my composure. The contractions had been growing stronger, and I could no longer bear the pain. With a desperate gasp, I collapsed onto the cold hospital floor.
