Chapter 4

• I left the kitchen just as Nancy had asked me to. So, I went upstairs to my room to go and have my bath and also prepare for work.
• I opened the door and walked inside. I saw my husband sleeping comfortably on the bed. Not again, I thought. Why would he be asleep by this time of the day, when it's work day. I made sure to prepare everything he needed to be completely dressed last night, just before going to bed, he's making that effort furtile already.
• I'm so glad it's Friday already, atleast someone have got to rest, especially my darling. I guess he's so stressed out from yesterday's work.
• I sat down on the bed and kissed him on his broad lips. He woke at the start and rubbed his eyes with his palm, while staring strangely at me.
• "Good morning sweet. Seems you're enjoying your sleep so well that you forgot it's Friday and you have work to attend to." I said, standing up and undressing.
• "Good morning babe." He said, then grunted. "Ohh goodness, I actually put off my alarm twice and slept off. This sleep was so enticing that I fell for it."
• "You put off your alarm twice, wow. Seems you need to retire then, so you can sleep all day at home." I said sarcastically.
• "Nope, if I retire, I won't just sleep all day, I'll take you round the world, to places you've dreamed to be, we've have memorable moments and experience together and alone."
• "Alex, are you sure you're not sleep talking like this? I can see that the sleep is still working hundred percent in your speech." I said laughing.
• "Babe, I'm serious, I'm not sleep talking, even though I still feel sleepy." He replied, carrying the pillow to himself and lying back, face down on the bed.
• "You're not just going to bed right now, Alex, are you?
• "Babe, I don't know. What did you give me last night to eat? I guess there... there was sleeping pills in it." He answered sleepily.
• "Perhaps, you were bit by the tse-tse fly in your dream. Come on, you have to prepare for work. Stand up, let's go take a shower."
• "Babe, take my hands and lift me up, I don't have the energy to stand up."
• I looked at him as he dozed off like a little baby. I think I fell in love again. If Jess hears my thoughts now, she'll mock me till I cry.
• "Darling, come on. Almost ten minutes has gone since I came in and we've not done anything serious. Don't blame me if you're late for work today. It's just few minutes to 7am." I said.
• He wasn't responding, but I knew he was not completely asleep.
• "I know what to do Alex. Just wait for me, okay, wait for me."
• I went into the bathroom, took a bailer. Then I placed it under the shower tap and turned on the cold water. When it got to about half of the container, I turned it back off and went back to the room.
• When he noticed that I was coming with the bailer on my left hand, I guess he realized what I was about to do next and he jumped up from the bed.
• "Come on babe. It hasn't gotten to that. I just want to take a little nap, then I'm off to the bathroom. Just give me few minutes and I'm done." He said.
• "The contents in this bailer will decide that, maybe after this you'll know what best to choose." I answered. I took some in my hands and sprinkled it on him.
• He ran away to the bathroom. I laughed so hard, though being conscious of time spent already. I walked backed to the bathroom, then realized that it was locked.
• "Babe, babe come on. Open the door, I wanna have my bath."
• "Well, guess who'll bathe first now." He said from the bathroom.
• "Babeeee. Please, you know I have few minutes to spare, so I can get to my office on time especially for my inauguration. You know I can't be late" I replied in a pleading tone.
• "Beg me well, so I can change my mind." I said.
• I noticed he was brushing already. This man is not up to his jokes again right. This isn't the time to play, I have work to attend to and so does he.
• "Darling please, I promise I would try not to do that again, but please open up."
• "Okay I will, but you'll have to wait till I'm done with bathing, as you can see, I wanna have my bath now." He replied.
• Then I heard the shower come on. Ohh goodness, he's at it again. The last time I checked, we are married and the last time I checked married couples, they bathe together.
• "Darling, this isn't fair. I'm not liking this at all, to be sincere I ..."
• The door came open and he dragged me inside and shut the door. Crazy!
