Chapter 11
- When I drove to the front of the house, I horned twice and waited for a while to be attended to. It took sometime before Nancy came out to open the gate for me. I was quite impatient waiting for her to do so, as I remembered Cledus, the former gatekeeper who we had no option than to sack from work.
- Cledus had been our gatekeeper for about a year and half a year. He was not bad, he did his job perfectly and was always around to make sure the gate is always secured. A visitor do not come into the house without he dishing out the normal proportion of questions that he ought to, to them. He was very conscious and cautious of his environment.
- I know you might wonder why and how we could sack a man as nice as that!
