Chapter 19

• We just finished baking the cupcakes and got it out of the electric oven, when Alex came home with the kids. Immediately I heard the horn of the car, I quickly removed the apron I had on me and went to the sitting room to stay. While Nancy ran outside, still putting on her apron to go open the gate for him to drive in.
• I left the kitchen not because he will scold me about being in the kitchen, atleast I do some house chores or quarrel with me because of it, but for Nancy's sake who begged me to stay away and I refused. Atleast, I owe her the right to be free from that.
• I heard the kids voice so loud even when I was in the house. I could sense they were so excited about the outing they went for, because right from the time they got out of the car, I could hear their screams and laughing and happiness. They were still shouting and arguing about a movie they watched in the cinema their father had taken them to as they came inside the house.
