• “Goodnight, Miss Sierra.” he toned icily and left. I didn’t even know how to feel. Should I be angry that he rejected his father’s invitation or should I be worried for him? Why did he detest his father so much? I do not know Chairman Richard to the core as he does but if there is one thing I have learned ever since I’ve been roped into this family, is that the old man cares for Shin. He might barely show it but his actions have proved on different occasions.
• I thought pretending to be still angry with Shin would have made it easier for him to agree to my request but I was blatantly wrong. Just what did his father do to him to make him despise him this much? Either way, I wasn’t going to take a No for an answer. Whether by pressure or by plea, I have to make sure Shin and I meet his father tomorrow. I wasn’t going to give up easily. And on that note, I left the dining room and headed upstairs to his room where he usually cooped himself up.
