• I stared at Alpha Gunnolf’s retreating figure. It felt like I was talking to another man, and it made me slightly antsy. I thought back to the previous night. The way he had held me like he was afraid that he was going to loose me had been so crazy, and mildly sweet. It was hard not to swoon because of that.
• I turned back and noticed Lina Royale was literally winking at me. My eyes widened in shock. What the hell was going on now? It almost felt like I had woken up in an alternate universe, and I had no idea what to make of it.
