Chapter 44
- I woke up with a slight headache, though I couldn’t bring myself to get up from bed. I shifted slightly and watched the rain pelt its droplets on the windowsill. The cold was welcomed. It seemed to drive the hunger away.
- Despite how sick I was, no-one had come to give me food, or help me out of this predicament. I was simply left on my own and that made me so sad. I didn’t know why they hated me so much. I had done nothing to them, and barely had any metaphysical powers. I was just a simple girl, and I was trying to live my life, but all that was not happening as I had planned.
- Everything was against me. This place lacked love, and the only person I had seen that actually cared was Gina. And, I was scared I was going to pull her into my mess. She deserved someone who was full of life, and had a great future to pull her out of the mess that she was. She needed as much courage as ever to make a mark in her life.
