• I walked ahead of the guards. There was a tingling in my soul with each step I took. Hopefully, Alpha Gunnolf wouldn’t skin me alive right now. I was hoping against hope that things would be easy going forward.
• I rounded the corner that took me to the throne room, and I noted that there was barely anyone around. It was odd, and it made me feel more scared.
