• I whistled as I stepped into the palace. I was so happy these days because I had successfully channelled my energy into ignoring Leonie. Alexa was a nice distraction. She’d keep me away from thinking incessantly about Leonie, and she was good in bed too. That was a plus.
• ‘But, she is not our mate,’ my wolf mumbled.
