Chapter 54

• Luciano let the cold water run down his body, he pushed his hair out of his face and tried to let go of his thoughts but it was hopeless. He has been trying to take his mind off the negatives since he dropped Danielle at her friend’s place but nothing has worked so far. He couldn’t get rid of the fear no matter how much he tried. The fear of losing them. He knew more than anyone else what the pain of losing his family felt like. He knew it was just a baseless fear but it didn’t stop it from taking over him.
• “Stop,”
• He scolded himself and turned off the water. He walked naked with water dripping from his body out of the shower, and grabbed a towel on his way out. He left his room with the towel wrapped around his lower body. He walked to his liquor cabinet. Brought out his favorite alcohol and poured a glass for himself. There was only one way he knew to forget when he had some much on his mind. Okay, there were two ways, sex, and alcohol. Sex was out of the picture for now so alcohol was all he had. He took a sip, walked out of the liquor corner to his living room area, and dropped the glass on the table. He sat down and looked around his big empty living room. He has been a loner most of his life so he was used to being alone. He filled the emptiness with work and partying. He stopped partying after his fight with Peter. The reason Peter’s betrayal had hit him so hard was because he had opened himself up to that bastard, and told him everything about him that he never told anyone else. Let him in on everything only for that bastard to turn on him.
