Chapter 41

• Luciano observed her closely, she looked so confused and thrown off by what he told her. it was hard to keep telling himself that she was aware of what happened and that she had planned it all. The mood he had been in for the last two days, the way he had gotten into his car as soon as his private investigator had given away her location. Everything he planned to tell her and how he wanted to be harsh to her changed the minute he saw her face for the first time when she unlocked the door. She looked so pale and lost a lot of weight that even if he had been the devil, he still would not have been able to lash out at her like he had wanted. He forgot almost everything that he had wanted to say to her when he saw how she looked. He got protective really quickly and had to keep reminding himself what she did. What he thought she did because now he doubted that she really did it.

• She continued to say. Now he felt offended by the fact that the thought of having his child was making her act like it was the most unwanted thing. He was losing the plot so badly and he needed to regain his posture and remember that he didn’t want any of what happened either. He never thought of having a child soon and now she was pregnant with his baby and the baby was making her sick. He needed to forget everything else and make sure that she was really okay.
