• Why was she not feeling nauseous because of their food? Kyra thought as she rubbed her nape then she realized that it was because she was not going to eat it. It was more about her swallowing the food to her stomach than the smell.
• The chef was fast with whipping up something sour for Kyra. Before the chef brought the food in, alpha Anton and Tanya dropped their forks and stopped eating. When she asked them, they said they could not eat while another person at the table was not eating. They could not have her watching them like a spectator.
• Nothing she said moved them to eat so she gave up with slumped shoulders and listened to Tanya tell stories about her travels.
