Chapter 23

• Kyra did not know for how long she cried but through it all, Anton kept consoling her and telling her that she was fine. When there were no longer any tears in her eyes to cry, she kept on sniffing until she finally gathered the courage to raise her head from Anton’s chest and adjust her weak body in his arms so that she was sitting up.
• She could feel different prying eyes on her back but all her attention was on Anton who looked so relieved that she had stopped crying.
• “Are you okay now?”
