Chapter 13

• Kyra did exactly as Anton had ordered her. She swallowed her protest about sitting beside him on the chair reserved for his Luna and bent her head to focus on the delicious delicacies that had been laid out in front of her.
• The first time the maids brought the food and spread it out before her, her stomach gave a loud rumbling noise, and she wished the ground would open and swallow her, but that did not happen. She was so embarrassed she did not know where to look. She thought that Anton would tease her or worse, make a snarky remark about it, but he said nothing and instead gestured at the maids to bring her food faster.
• The first taste of the food nearly brought tears to her eyes. It’s been more than twenty-four hours since she had her last meal, and this one tasted so heavenly.
