Chapter 20
- All of Kyra’s wicked thoughts about kissing Anton and about the strange feeling she got when his hands rested on her bare leg vanished into thin air when his hand applied pressure on a particular spot on her ankle and sharp pain shot through her.
- Kyra let out a tiny scream but immediately slammed her hand over her mouth as her eyes watered. She had been so far gone in her thoughts because of his actions that kept surprising and knocking the breath out of her that she did not notice her ankle was twisted a little before he caught her. It would have been much worse than this if he hadn't caught her.
- Like that first day, they had lunch together, she had him to thank for saving her from falling, even if he was the reason she was going to fall. The pains in her leg did it allow her room to offer him, thanks.
