• The rooster crowing announced the start of a new day. My eyes flew open and the bed dipped as Ethan got up. I got a look at his backside and my mouth went dry. I stayed still in hopes that he would leave me alone. As his footsteps retreated I let out a quiet sigh of relief. There was a knock at the door and I watched in horror as he walked butt naked to open it. I pulled the sheets up to my chin to cover my body as two servants walked in with platters in hand.
• One warriors stood by the door and told them to get to it. The maids bowed to Ethan and when they looked up their eyes widened at seeing his nakedness. The room was a mess and I don’t think anyone should be walking through it, but what I thought didn’t matter here. It never did. The servants bowed their heads and kept their eyes on the floor as they walked through the carnage that was my room.
