Chapter 18

• When Asher realized it was going to rain later that evening, after checking the weather forecast on his phone, he went to the nearest mall to buy a folding umbrella and texted Peri, in case she hadn’t brought one with her. He had nothing better to do anyway but think about her and how to make her comfortable as much as possible.
• He parked the car in front of his friend’s house. The light was on, as usual. Maurice had mentioned that it was left on ‘til morning.
• Asher handed Peri the newly purchased folding umbrella, so that she wouldn’t get drenched when walking up to the front door.
