Chapter 53

• The cold breeze collides with my skin, bristling it completely, I open my eyes just before the impact with the icy water, I immediately feel as if a thousand needles are digging into my skin, stinging every inch of it, I feel how the water envelops my body and as it sinks below the uneasy surface. I don't try hard to stay afloat, I close my eyes once more and remember them.
• The three of us jumping into the void as we laughed, our hands clasped tightly, supporting each other, Ashley's laugh before she went into the water and then her scream and giggles as she came out, she was excited because she had done it, she had jumped and she loved it. My lips draw a smile as I visualize the scene as if it were taking place once more.
