Chapter 47

• That morning, Victoria decided to get up early. After making sure that everything at home was running smoothly, she decided to make breakfast for Logan. She remembered that Logan had mentioned that he liked cheese omelets with mushrooms, something that his late mother often made.
• Carefully, Victoria cut the mushrooms and grated the cheese. The smell of butter melting on a frying pan filled the kitchen. As the omelet began to cook, she prepared toast and a cup of black coffee for Logan.
• Logan appeared in the dining room shortly after breakfast was ready. In his wheelchair, he rolled to the table, his eyes immediately falling on the plate in front of him.
