• When Dani moved in to Alexei’s apartment, he was already back in Moscow.
• It was a relief not having to deal with the awkwardness of moving her things in, which Marta was happy to help her with. She had little to bring with her anyway except for clothes, and she’d given away most of the designer items in her wardrobe for whatever extra coin she could get.
• With rent no longer a concern, she quit her job at the cafe and had more time for herself. It was good to be spoiled again, being able to stay in Alexei’s lavish city residence compared to the cramped apartment she had to stay in for a month. While he wasn’t home she slept on his glorious California king bed, and it was hard to admit that the lingering scent of him on his sheets helped her sleep more comfortably. She took long baths in his tub, binged on Netflix, and danced around to his surround sound speakers. She didn’t even need to worry about cleaning, since a housekeeper came by at least twice a week. It was just like how she imagined a bachelorette lifestyle to be.
