Chapter 20

• The problem with Rosewood Academy was that it didn’t have enough students. More than being a tough school to get into, it was an expensive institution to begin with. This made it near impossible to avoid anyone down the hallways, which was Dani’s current conundrum when she emerged from her French class and bumped right into Scott Evans.
• Scott Evans was a decent guy from the same year. He was tall, sandy-haired, had nice dimples and was captain of the soccer team. His family also owned a chain of hotels across the country. They’d been seeing each other on and off for two years, though he’d always wanted to head down the more serious route. Scott was cute, but he just wasn’t quite boyfriend material.
• The last time they met, it was at a party before spring break. She’d downed one too many drinks and ended up sleeping with him (again), and she’d snuck out of his bedroom before he woke up.
