Chapter 31

• After returning to the office around 1 p.m., I realized I hadn't had lunch yet. I called my secretary, Anette, and asked her to grab me some food from the canteen. With a lot of work still ahead, I decided to eat at my desk.
• The day continued with my focus on work until around 4 p.m., when I finished cleaning up my tasks. I waited for Karious's call, as we had planned to have dinner together outside and pick up Rious from school.
• While there was no call from Karious, I called Yasmin's guardian's number again using the office phone. It took several rings before someone answered the call. Thank God!
