Chapter 49 Annie

• It’s the next day and I’ve finally decided to face my reality and move on that includes moving back to Houston and going to meet my father to hear what he has to say and give him a piece of my mind. Jamila left for work in the morning and since then I’ve been arranging the house and packing my things. I need to face this head on and not hide, they are the ones that should be hiding when they see me because I didn’t do anything wrong.
• I’m going back to the house that James and I shared to pack the remainder of my things. I haven’t been there since I left and I haven’t seen James since then and have no idea of seeing him today and that’s why I am going when I know lunch break has ended, he should be busy at work. I take my purse, the house keys, my phone and head out. I really hope I don’t run into him.
• On getting to the house the place looks empty, no signs of the cars and when I go in everything just looks lifeless. I open the door to James room and I see that most of his things are gone. Could he have left? Anyway it’s none of my business, I’m just happy that I won’t be running into him but how could he leave me here without telling me anything? Why do I even care?
