Chapter 99 The King Is Dead

• It was getting dark in the sky already. The royal army had gotten tired of waiting and rumors were already spreading amongst them that the King was dead. It had been six hours since the Alpha King walked into the forbidden woods and there has been no sign of him since then.
• King Damon had clearly instructed them to go home and announce his death if he didn’t return by sunset, and it was past sunset already. Most of the men had become impatient; all they wanted was to go home, while some others were afraid, they knew what it meant for a Kingdom to lose their King, especially in a situation like this.
• They didn’t see the Princess fit to keep the Kingdom running and so their enemies could use the opportunity to attack. Some other men were sincerely worried about the King; they had become so close to him that they actually cared.
