Chapter 6 The Last Tyran Blooded Wolf

  • I ran into the woods as fast as my legs could carry me, with my heart pounding hard against my chest. I had never been so terrified in my life. The woodland was dark and cloudy, the whispers of the forest creatures would have scared me on a normal day but I had faced worse to fear that.
  • The face of that monster was all that I could picture in my mind, the way he ripped my mom’s head off. If I was to survive this, it was a scene that I might never forget.
  • After running for almost half an hour, I ran out of breath and stopped to regain my strength. I relaxed my back against a tall tree. That was when I caught the scent of the woods. It had been years since I was last here.
  • Ever since my fifteenth birthday, Dad never let me leave the house alone, he always sent the guards to accompany me and the woods became a no go area for me. He said it was not safe, even with a thousand guards, but here I am today, alone in the woods. I had come to seek protection from danger itself.
  • Well, the danger this woods could provide was nothing in comparison to the one I had run away from in the castle, so it was the right decision.
  • My consciousness was triggered when I heard twig breaking sounds from behind, I turned around and it felt like something was moving in that part of the woods, like it was coming in my direction. I started to move backwards slowly until my back collided into something.
  • I froze as it dawned on me that someone was behind me. I know that scent, rogues!! I turned around and came to face a little wolf with dark brown eyes. I wanted to get excited knowing that I could outrun him, then I heard a snarling sound behind me.
  • Of course, wolves move in packs. I had just run into a pack of rogues, this is terrible. I looked around and they had circled me, there were about six of them. They started to come closer to me slowly and I picked up a club immediately. I know that was not enough to defend myself but I had to give it a try.
  • I waved the club at their face but they did not look in any way scared of me or the club. They just kept coming closer with an evil grin on their faces.
  • “Stop, I am warning you!” I yelled, and swung the stick in my defense.
  • “Step back rogues, she is mine!” that hoarse voice took me by surprise.
  • I turned towards the path I had come from, and there he was. Alpha Damon in his human form, I was right, he was the monster. I had no idea who I should be scared of, my parent’s murderer or the rogues.
  • “You sure are brave princess, first you rejected my proposal, and here you are trying to scare rogues away with a stick,” he said sarcastically and laughed in mockery.
  • I clenched my fist and gritted my teeth in anger. I swear I would kill this bastard, even if it’s the last thing I do.
  • The rogue wolves turned their attention to him and I stood at a corner, with my back against the tree, watching to see what happens next. I wished the rogues would kill him but then, I would die at their hands. But how would I know that Damon won’t try to kill me after he kills the rogues?
  • The wolves snarled and growled at him, they crouched down on their belly, ready to attack.
  • “Okay, I see you guys want it the hard way.” He chuckled.
  • The wolves dived on him one after the other but he tossed them off like they were bird feathers and that left me stunned, then I saw his claws sprout out of his finger nails, it was like that of the devil himself. But he was still humanoid, how was that even possible?
  • So the Tyran myth story was no rumor after all, it was real and right now I was a living witness. I was standing before the last Tyran blooded wolf and watching him destroy these rogues.
  • He gave the rogues a really good beating, I could hear them whimper and growl in pain as he tossed them about, and drove his long claws through their chest and neck. Thanks to the moonlight that came up, I could see their furs stained with their own blood, but Damon did not seem hurt at all.
  • I stood there in awe, unable to move. Now I understood how he had managed to overpower our entire warriors, he had not come with any of his warriors, he had single handedly wrecked our packhouse, this was not just any ordinary werewolf, he was a demon from the depths of hell.
  • My parents had made a mistake underestimating him, and I was the root cause of all this. I would have agreed to be mated to him, yes that would have been suicide but at least my family would have lived.
  • Speaking of my family, I don’t remember seeing my little brother all this time, did Damon also kill him? Could he be that heartless to kill a kid?
  • I watched as the rogue wolves started to retreat one after the other, they had taken a good beating and if they stayed longer, then I had no doubt that Alpha Damon would kill them. Soon they had all run away, deep into the woods and that is when I realized that I had to run too.
  • I turned around and ran off again. How could I be this foolish? I should have run away a long time ago rather than stand and watch the scene, I had picked the wrong time and wrong show for entertainment.
  • “Hey princess, don’t make this difficult for the both of us or I will punish you severely when I catch you!” he warned but I ignored him and kept running.
  • That was a foolish plan, he was an Alpha who was way stronger and faster, it didn’t take long for him to catch up with me. He grabbed me by the arm and stopped me from running, then the next thing I saw was a tight slap that sent me to the floor.
  • I winced in pain and tried to get up but he matched me with his heavy boot and I fell back down, groaning and rolling in pain.
  • To be continued!!
