Chapter 35 Kiss Me
- I used to be the last one to leave work, but it was the first time I left almost at midnight. I had finished my work for the next day before giving up and turning off the computer. I drove slowly to the building where I lived, tension in every muscle of my body. When I got to the front door of the apartment, I scolded myself for hesitating to return to my own home. I entered and found the living room light on, the TV on, and no sign of Paulina around. I walked up to the TV and turned it off, and that's when I heard a yawn and saw the housekeeper lying on the sofa.
- She blinked sleepily, stretched her body, and sat up, gradually regaining her lucidity. She was disheveled and her hair was messy, but she didn't appear to have cried herself to sleep like the day before.
- "Good night!" she murmured hoarsely, to which he nodded, observing her straightening her clothes and getting up. "How was your day?" she asked as usual.
