Chapter 21 The Other Side
- Paulina finished preparing dinner, her eyes constantly glancing at the phone. At that time, Simon usually called to let her know of any guests so she could set the table for two.
- She was also bothered that Nathaniel hadn't called her. He had sent a message saying he was okay and wishing her a good day, but she liked to hear his voice and know how his day had been. It was a comfort for the distance they had during the week, although throughout their relationship, he rarely called. She appreciated it when it did happen.
