Chapter 26 Redeemed
- Annie
- Two Days ago...
- I've barely slept last night and I have no doubt that Daniel feels the same. Even though the bed is comfortable and the room is nice, it isn't home. The elegant curtains and soft cushion of the matress does nothing to disguise the fact that I'm not safe. I'm not back at the palace. I've been taken and placed in a cage--albiet a gilded one--but it's still a prison. Since discovering a peice of my location, I haven't heard a single word from the voice on the intercom. I assume they aren't too happy that I have vexed them. It's not my fault I've seen a lot of movies about this kind of thing. The more you can find out about your location and your kidnappers, the better off you'll be as the victim. So I will keep doing my best to discover as much as I can about where I am. The view from the barred windows offers no identifying markers. Just trees and grass. There is a little pond across the way, but other than that, nothing to note.
