Chapter 20 She's Gone

• There is one person left I have to see, and I loathe that truth. She isn't a person I want to see-- in fact, if I never saw her face or heard her name again, I would be in bliss-- but It's for my wife so I must. I need to find out what's going on, and if that means conversing with the serpent that is Vanessa, then so be it. It's the least I can do.
• Vanessa loves attention, and she especially loves to be the center of it, so it isn't a surprise when I find her flitting through the royal gardens, in the full attention of the ladies of the royal court . Even being a disgrace to my mother, she's dynamic. Vanessa always bounces back, and she once again has the complete ears of the ladies that surround her.
