Chapter 408 Retaliation By The Divorced Heiress
- Bella questioned whether Justin was still the same person who, years ago, wouldn't even offer her a bottle of water. How was he going to dry her hair now? Was he under a spell? "Remove your hands from me!" Bella protested in gritted teeth; her voice decreased. Carrie, though, continued to stir in her sleep. Under the comforter, Carrie's frail body curled up, but she remained unconscious. "You might as well make more noise if you want to wake Carrie." Justin caressed Bella's hair and slowly curled his lips. He had discovered her vulnerability. Then, exercise caution! My hair has been falling out a lot lately. I'm going to go bald because of you! Anger reddening her cheeks, Bella scowled.
- I apologize; this is not something I have done before. I'm not experienced at all. An unexplainable warmth welled up in Justin's heart. He let his fingers loose and ran a towel over her hair. "I promise to improve next time." Bella was shivering. "Justin, I'm only supporting your behavior for Carrie's sake this time," she retorted icily. I'll amputate your arms the next time! Even though he wanted to chuckle, Justin continued to softly rub her scalp. Bella's body's tight nerves quickly relaxed. She had her lovely eyes half closed. "Damn it!" was her thought. How on earth is this man so skilled at this? It's quite cozy.
- Bella's eyes were a touch red, as if she had just shed a tear when she and Justin emerged from the bedroom. With a tiny twist of his head, Justin never took his eyes off her. Ryan blinked and glanced at them, momentarily feeling a bit disoriented. He thought that they were still a perfectly suited married couple. Justin was quite attractive. Ryan didn't know of any other woman who may be Justin's match save Bella. "Ryan, you ought to return home." Carrie will spend the night here. Justin had a pallid expression. "When she wakes up tomorrow morning, I'll send her home because it would be troublesome to wake her."
