Chapter 48

Karina spent the rest of the weekend locked up in her room. She didn’t want to deal with any humans. She turned off her phone after texting Ethan that he wouldn’t be able to reach her for the rest of the weekend. Nick was the reason she turned off her phone. He kept calling her and texting her multiple times.
She spent her time alone thinking about what to do and how to spend the one year that was given to her. She realized that it would not be fair on herself to spend the whole time plotting the downfall of those who hurt her so she decided to do the things she wasn’t able to do in her past life due to how dedicated she had been to win her father’s favor.
She made a list of things for fun that she should do and also decided that she deserved more from the company. Which was why she decided to take a leave. She has been overdue to take one. Her father and superiors might not like it but she was going to do it anyway.
