• “Good morning, father. I don’t remember pulling any kind of stunt,”
• Karina responded. She wasn’t in the mood to exchange words with her father so early in the morning but she wasn’t going to let him get away with talking down on her either. Being reminded of the last time they spoke on the phone and the things he had said to her. The way he went as far as talking shit about her dead mother made her so mad at him.
• “The prime minister flew in from Landon with his sons to honor an invitation I sent only for you to start acting up in their presence? Was that how I raised you?”
