Chapter 15

• Karina was woken by the buzzing of her cell phone. She reached for it without checking who the caller was and regretted it immediately when she heard her Dad’s voice. The sleep cleared from her eyes and the event of the previous day and her wedding that didn’t happen came crashing down on her. She felt her heart sink as her dad yelled at her. She wanted to hang up immediately.
• “You disgraceful child. You had the mind to sleep outside the house after the mess you made?”
• Her day yelled.
