• “Why are you looking at me like that without saying anything? Do I look so beautiful that you can’t find the words to describe me?”
• Ava said, drawing Karina’s attention back to the present. Karina stared at her stepsister. They never got along. For as long as she could remember, Ava had always hated her and always wanted everything that Karina had. Always found a way to make Karina’s life hell but Karina never hated her for any of those things.
• It didn’t matter until it did. Knowing that Ava hated her more than she even let on right now made her sick. How could one person hate another so much?
