• Mia’s expression was firm as she turned to me. “The next time someone tries to bully you, just mention my name or Marvellous Universe. Trust me, they won’t dare to mess with you again.”
• I was grateful that she was trying to protect me, it felt weird because for the first time, someone actually stood up for me. I noticed the lingering frustration in Mia’s tone and I gave her a reassuring smile, hoping to put her at ease. “Don’t worry, Sister Mia. If it happens again, I’ll definitely use your name—or even Boss Parker’s.”
• Mia nodded approvingly. “Good.”
