• Armani smirked, his upper lip rising in amusement. A muscle worked in my jaw, and I grabbed a spoonful of mashed potatoes into my mouth to hide my obvious irritation at the scene.
• Lila was still standing, waiting for her husband to give her permission to return to her room. She had barely eaten anything, as her full plate remained untouched on the table.
