• Leo’s POV
• The only lights we had were the ones our eyes provided, yet it wasn’t difficult maneuvering the space that led down to the entrance of the secret passageway. Eliana was guiding us all the way, telling us which routes to avoid when the Mercs reared their head.
• I stooped close to the ground as we reached the gate, covering the possible hideouts in one clean sweep. Signaling my men behind me, we rushed to the other side of the gate, where we could easily see anyone approach. It would be unwise for us to rush in now because we were bound to meet them midway, and I wouldn’t be able to manage the fire when it started.
