Chapter 54
- Reaching over her head, Becky let the heavy, grey sweater dress down. She needed every edge she possessed before confronting Barry this morning because it was her favorite clothing. It remained unclear to her whether the events that transpired were a dream or real, but confronting him would be challenging.
- Before heading out to find Abby, she sat on her bed and fastened the laces on her Chuck Taylor. That was the day of her first session in the ballet class that Becky had enrolled her in the week prior. In her room, she discovered the small child, making a heroic effort to put on her black leotard. When Becky entered the room to assist her, she grinned. They pulled it up over her pink tights together, and Becky covered her head with a warm jumper and wrapped the transparent pink skirt over her hips.
- When will I be able to don a tutu? As Becky assisted Abby in putting on her ballet shoes, she questioned. They were only little pink slip-ons; they lacked the lengthy ribbons that authentic ballerinas wear.
