Chapter 14

• It was another day for Alexia. She woke up with a banging headache. She looked around in search of Dane, thinking he might have come back just as she dreamt. Or at least anyone but there's no one in the room. She was surprised to see that she was alone and couldn't believe that her family or Dane would leave her side at a time like this. She had barely recovered from everything that happened.
• The headache increased as she tried to stand up from the bed so she climbed back into the bed, trying to make peace with her mind and head. She looked around expectantly again, hoping to see something that would show her that someone was there with her but she doesn't find anything. She gave up the search and started making excuses for Dane.
• Maybe he was upset with me due to the way I talked to him but I have every right to be angry, don't I? She thought to herself but nothing justified the thought of Dane leaving her after all that happened because of him. The least he could have done was to remain by her side. She continued thinking and remained lost in thought that she doesn't notice Lily entering into the room.
