Chapter 13

• Dane sighs as he makes his way into the Alexia's hospital room. The past few days have been hectic for him, combining work and dealing with the knowledge of Alexia getting hurt twice because of his relationship with Ciara is not easy for him. Guilt bites away at his heart as he stands by the door, staring at the motionless Alexia on the bed.
• He recalls his conversation with the doctor a day after Alexia's admission and surgery.
• “She suffered an heavy impact on her head due to the heavy blows and her fall. There are possible chances of internal damages as a result of the bullet but for now, I'm sorry to announce to you that she's in coma and might be there for a few more weeks and it's also possible that she suffers temporary memory loss which might end up becoming permanent over time.” The voice of the doctor plays in his head.
