Chapter 10

• Alexia snuggles closer to Dane, breathing in deeply as the sweet scent of his cologne brushes past her nose. She lets out a deep sigh and a small smile of contentment feeling grateful that things are finally looking positive with Dane but the sad reminder of her baby's death and the traumatic experience she went through cut her happiness short.
• She continues brooding, oblivious to Dane's hard stare at her face. At first, he tries to make out what she could be thinking about that made her look down casted until the thought of the loss of their child cross his mind. His chest tightened at the thought of her having depressing thoughts and going through it alone.
• “What’s on your mind?” He asks, finally breaking the silence and bringing Alexia out of her reverie. She hesitates before answering, avoiding his eyes as if to prevent him from reading her thoughts through her eyes.
