Chapter 50 Traumatized

  • The pain is ripping me. The memories of that night send fear in me making me shiver. I hugged myself as I sat on the swing in the park. I stared at the vast grassy empty field. I am all alone. No children were playing now maybe because they were at school today or perhaps, they couldn't stand the scorching sun. Funny I may look like here. Seem to be shivering in the cold even though the sun is at its peak. But the sun already set on the horizon. The night has fallen deep. The summer is gone and today's winter.
  • I am not talking about the weather or the season though.
  • Later on, as I sat alone on the swing a golden retriever rushed into my direction. Before I could brace myself from the dog, it already jumped onto my lap and showered me with his wet kisses. He seems kind and joyful. I looked around, hoping to find the dog's owner but then, I saw no one.
