Chapter 14 His World

• When Dad was still alive, our life once became the epitome of simplicity, a picturesque blissful family. We're not that rich tho—not like the Sylvestre clan. We don't have a chain of company or anything, just a simple furniture business owned and managed by my dad. It did earn, not that much but fairly enough to sustain our needs. We were happy at the same time, dreaming of making the business grow. However, everything changes. All our happiness faded… they rusted. Dad died due to cancer, it was too late for us to save him. And with that, as our lives are thrown into unknown darkness, my mom suffered so much. She got depressed. At first, I understand her… I used to understand her before until I got tired of understanding a mother who couldn't even understand her daughter's pain as well.
• Dad died. But it seems like the mother I used to know came with him and abandoned me.
• She was wounded, I know and it saddened me too. She lost her dearest husband but how about me? I lost my father. Losing him is already painful and losing my mother— the way she used to be— has become unbearable for me.
