• “You are a vampire,” Alaric added and he seemed lost in thought as he put pieces together. “And also a demon, and she is a werewolf,” he pointed at Aliyah, “and your identities combined are what make up Mariah,” he smiled, so proud of himself for figuring that out.
• Edward let go of Aliyah’s hand, with the little blood from her and his demon’s healing properties, he would be better in a matter of minutes. He glanced at Alaric, knowing no one could have told him about that but his daughter. “You two seem to have talked a lot.”
