• Mariah was torn between telling her family the truth and getting them so worried that they won’t let her go anywhere alone again and lying to them to retain her freedom. She heaved a sigh and sat down on the empty chair beside Sean. “The truth is, I did get into a fight last night. I um…I accidentally broke the cocoon of a Nebuzar. He was mad, we fought and he hurt me by staking his claw in my chest, but I won.”
