Chapter 34 Dragons

• Mariah opened her eyes, for a moment, she was confused at where she was and sat up on the bed. Her eyes went to the open window and she squinted her eyes with a wince. After some seconds, she slowly opened her eyes, adapting to the bright room. After a slow inspection of her surroundings, she realized she was in her room in her father’s palace. She stretched herself, her body felt stiff and she groaned a little in pain. The turning of the door’s knob got her attention, followed by the opening of the door. A flow of deep brown hair followed by her mother's beautiful face kept her hooked.
• Aliyah smiled when she saw Mariah sitting on her bed. “You are finally awake, I’m happy.” She entered fully now, shut the door, slowly approached the bed, and sat beside Mariah.
• Mariah was smiling when she saw her mother, but hearing her words made her frown, “finally?”
