Chapter 15 Are You Okay?

• Alaric had left Benjamin’s costume shop to find his old friend, Modach. However, when he got to his cave, he saw it looked abandoned like it had not been used. Although Modach never took human form, they understood each other perfectly. During one of Alaric’s training on land, Modach found Alaric wounded and nursed him back to health, hence starting their years of friendship. Well, until Alaric was identified as a god killer and was buried ten thousand years ago.
• If there was one thing he knew, it was that Modach doesn’t joke with his cave, so if he was not there when he should be hibernating, had something happened to him during the years he was buried? Or could it be he had outlived his lifespan like he had once told him some time ago? He was still going over his theories when he sensed something strange. It felt like a part of him was in immense pain and he clutched his chest with a deep frown.
• Alaric glanced around him, he was surrounded by trees and animals trying to get to their nesting ground. The setting sun cast a beautiful glow in the forest and it made him wonder why he would be feeling so strange when everything around him was so beautiful and peaceful.
