Chapter 79

• HAYLEY’S P.O.V
• I fell asleep in my grandfather’s room. He seemed more comfortable with me there so I stayed. I sat on the couch and made up a stupid excuse about leaving later and I never did. I wasn’t able to sleep long or well for that matter but I knew I would do it again in a heartbeat.
• Before six, I was up and while I knew I had work today, I had no interest or energy in attending today so I didn’t. I should have felt bad for it but I didn’t. My clients could manage one day without me coming into work for sure.
