- When Jake told me he had an ex, I assumed a lot of things.
- I assumed an ex-girlfriend or an ex fling, I even assumed an ex-fiancé for a while but I thought that if he had married the woman then surely, he would have told me. It didn’t make any sense for him to address her like that to me unless she was unimportant but clearly I was wrong and I hated being wrong more than anything.
